On November 9, Adriana Lima surely didn’t disappoint during her time at the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Insuring she is nothing short of perfection for her time on stage, Adriana stuck to a liquid-only diet for nine days prior to tonight’s gig – quitting her liquid intake all-together for the last 12 hours before the big event.

Getting a lot of pre-show grief after revealing her strict diet and workout routine, Adriana defended her drastic regimen, telling E!, “I know it’s very intense but…I just have an athlete’s mind and I appreciate doing this thing. It’s not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it for this particular thing. After this show, I become normal again!”

 Adriana Lima was spotted at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Party in New York City on Wednesday (November 9).

And though it may look like the model works out every day of her life and stays clear of any kind of carbs, Lima told E! News that she doesn’t always follow such an intense diet year-round.

“I know it’s very intense but…I just have an athlete’s mind. It’s not that I do crazy diets throughout the year. I just do it for this particular thing. After this show, I become normal again!”

Adriana Lima was spotted at the doctor’s office in New York City earlier today (November 8).

The Brazilian made her exit from what looked like a facial plastic surgeon’s practice, and headed off into Manhattan.

Adriana is gearing up for the big Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She told press, “It is really intense, it’s not really the amount of time you spend working out, it’s the intensity: I jump rope, I do boxing, I lift weights, but I get bored doing that. If I am not moving I get bored very easily.”

“Actually, the Victoria’s Secret show is the highlight of my life. Becoming an Angel, once I achieved that, it was a dream-come-true for me. And I know that after all this is done, when I sit down with my daughter one day we are going to look back and it’s going to be very special.”
